Andrew Hill is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Auckland and a highly experienced general and colorectal surgeon based in South Auckland, operating at Ormiston Hospital and consulting nearby in Botany. He treats the full range of proctologic conditions – including haemorrhoids, anal fissures, fistulae and pilonidal disease – as well as inguinal, umbilical and incisional hernia repair.
A prolific academic, Andrew has authored more than 300 scientific publications on colorectal surgery and surgical education, wrote the international PROSPECT guidelines on pain management after haemorrhoidectomy, and edited the proctology section of a leading international colorectal surgery textbook.
