Visiting hours and parking

Welcoming patients and visitors to Ormiston Hospital

Parking

Paid onsite parking is available on the grounds of Ormiston Hospital for patients, visitors and caregivers. Patient parking is located out the front of the hospital.

Paid parking, managed by Vital Healthcare (our landlord) is to be pre-paid. There are several ways you can pay when you visit us:

  • Pay-by-plate: we have parking meters located at the entrance of both buildings
  • QR code (Park EASY – virtual parking meter)
  • ParKiwi Parking App

Paid parking times are:

6am- 8.59am: Free

9am-5.59am: Paid

Parking charges are as follows:

0 – 30 minutes:                Free parking

30 – 60 minutes:            $2/ half hour (you can choose to pay in 15-minute increments)

60+ minutes:                   $2/ half hour

Max charge:                      $49 for 24 hours

Please ensure you do pay when you park to avoid any breach notice fees (entry/exit cameras are installed to record vehicle number plates).

Please note, this doesn’t include the undercover car park, located at the end of the hospital from the main entrance, as this is staff and doctor parking only.

Rest is important following surgery

We want our patients to be as comfortable as possible. If you would like more rest and to restrict the number of visitors, please do not hesitate to speak to your nurse.

Boarder visitors are only permitted in special circumstances and will need prior approval from the Ward Charge Nurse. An additional cost is also associated with boarders staying with patients.

Ormiston Hospital kindly request that children visiting the ward are supervised at all times.
