Ormiston Hospital’s CME GP evenings in Auckland provide general practitioners and nurse practitioners with accredited, practical learning opportunities across a range of medical specialties. Recognising the importance of continuous professional development, our programme is accredited by The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners, allowing GPs to earn valuable Continuing Medical Education (CME) points. Nurse Practitioners can also request a Certificate of Attendance.
Each CME event features expert speakers who bring extensive experience and up-to-date, evidence-based insights from their fields. Sessions are concise, clinically relevant, and designed to support diagnosis, treatment, and patient care in everyday general practice.
We place a strong focus on interaction and collaboration. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions, discuss cases, and share experiences with peers and presenters, creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment. Real-world case studies and practical examples help bridge the gap between theory and application, ensuring knowledge gained can be immediately applied in practice.
Our CME programme also keeps participants informed about the latest research, guidelines, and technological advancements in healthcare. Whether exploring new treatments, emerging best practices, or updates in clinical protocols, attendees leave with actionable knowledge to support better patient outcomes.
Beyond education, each CME GP evening provides valuable networking opportunities, allowing attendees to connect with colleagues, specialists, and other healthcare professionals in Auckland’s medical community.
