General and Transplant Surgeon

Dr Peter Swan is a UK and New Zealand trained General, HPB (hepatobiliary and pancreatic) and Transplant Surgeon. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Southampton and completed his general, HPB and transplant surgical training in Southampton, Basingstoke and Auckland.
He has worked in the public sector as a consultant surgeon for over a decade and currently holds a position as Consultant General and Transplant Surgeon with Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand (Northland and Auckland). He also consults at the New Zealand Liver Transplant Unit, Auckland City Hospital.
Outside of work, Peter enjoys an active lifestyle with his family. He spends much of his time outdoors, often fishing, camping, walking, or watching sports. He believes in doing the right thing, always, and brings that same grounded approach to both his professional and personal life.
