Ormiston Specialist Centre welcomes a new breast and general surgeon to the team of experts; Dr Magdalena Biggar.

Magda gained overseas specialist experience in England and Australia and now has expertise in surgery for breast cancer, other breast disease as well as endocrine surgery (thyroid, parathyroid glands) and general Surgery with a particular interest in gallbladder surgery.

Magda is part of the Mercy Breast clinic in Epsom however for the convenience of SouthEast Auckland patients, Magda runs an outreach breast clinic at Ormiston alongside her general and endocrine clinic. Patients who see her at Ormiston also get the added benefit of meeting and receiving support from a breast nurse.

Magda’s care is tailored to each patient, with compassion and clear communication. She is happy for GP’s to contact her directly for urgent cases or advice and can almost always offer an appointment to see new cancer diagnoses within 3 days of referral.
