Going the extra mile: Meet our latest Value Award winners

Here at the hospital, we think exceptional patient care starts with exceptional people.

Every day, our teams go above and beyond to support patients, their families and each other. Whether it’s providing reassurance during a difficult moment, embracing new ways of working, mentoring colleagues or striving for the highest standards of clinical care, these everyday actions make a huge difference to the experience our patients receive.

That’s why each quarter we recognise team members who embody our values through the Ormiston Hospital Value Awards.

These awards celebrate staff who consistently demonstrate what it means to deliver outstanding care, with colleagues nominating one another and sharing stories of the difference they’ve made. The latest awards received an incredible 52 nominations, highlighting the dedication and compassion shown across our hospital every day.

Healthcare is constantly evolving, and we believe embracing change helps us provide even better care. We encourage curiosity, collaboration and innovation, supporting our people to grow while continually improving the way we work.

Caring with empathy

Compassion is central to every patient interaction. We treat every patient with kindness, dignity and respect, recognise the importance of family and whānau, and provide care that is safe, inclusive and centred around individual needs.

Excellence in what we do
