Vascular surgery is the division of medicine which specialises in treating blood vessels of the body, with the exception of the vessels of the heart.
A vascular surgeon is trained in the diagnosis and management of diseases affecting the vascular system.
They may work to restore blood flow to an area of the body after trauma, disease has damaged the blood vessels.

Varicose Veins – These are veins that have become enlarged and tortuous. Even though the term often refers to the veins on the leg, the condition can occur elsewhere.
Carotid Stenosis – This is a narrowing or constriction of the inner surface of the carotid artery, usually caused by atherosclerosis (hardening and narrowing of the arteries ).
