Payment Payment

Ormiston Hospital accepts all New Zealand health insurance policy holders, as well as some overseas policy holders, patients requiring surgery under ACC and private paying patients.

If you are insured, please ensure that you contact your insurance company to check you have prior approval for your planned treatment.

Remember that you are responsible for the costs of your treatment so it is important that you understand the cover your insurer will provide you.  Claim processes differ with all insurance companies and you need to guarantee that your insurer guides you through their process.

"Ormiston Hospital is open to everyone, whether you are insured or not"

If your costs are covered by ACC your surgical specialist will gain payment approval from ACC prior to any surgery being undertaken.

If your surgery is covered by your employer you will need to follow the claims process detailed in their scheme.

If none of the above apply, you can also choose to pay for your own treatment.  You will not require private medical insurance and we would be happy to supply you with an estimate for your treatment.
