Physiotherapy
Alice Baynham has been contracted by Ormiston Hospital to provide physiotherapy treatment to it’s surgical patients. Alice or one of her team, will visit you following a referral by your surgeon or at your request.
Alice has eight years experience working in private
hospitals. She specialises in physiotherapy for post
orthopaedic and general surgery patients.
Hire equipment such as crutches, raised toilet seats and
walking frames can be organised through Alice and the
physiotherapy service, as well as any other equipment
needed to ease your transition home.
When returning hire equipment, please clearly label it with
your name, address and date of return to ensure payment
of your refund. Equipment can be left with the ward staff
on Level 2 at Ormiston Hospital once no longer required
after discharge.
The physiotherapy service is not included in the hospital
bill and you will therefore be sent a separate account by
the physiotherapist. You can submit this to your health
insurer. Physiotherapy is part of your surgical arrangement
if you are a contract or ACC patient and the costs are already
covered for you by this funding arrangement.
Ormiston Hospital Pharmacy
The onsite Pharmacy is located on the ground floor of the
Ormiston Hospital building.
Opening Hours – Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm.
The pharmacy dispenses general prescription medicines
prescribed by your specialist. The pharmacy also supplies the
hospital with all prescription services and we would be happy
to arrange for your script to be filled prior to your discharge.
The cost of your medicines will then be added to your hospital
account and settled on discharge.

in pamphlet form in the front of this compendium.
Ormiston Pharmacy also offer a range of non prescription
medicines, herbal remedies, cosmetics, dressings and first aid
supplies. It also stocks cards, gifts and some confectionery for
your convenience.
